Heating and cooling of buildings worldwide account for half of the global energy consumption. A significant portion escapes through leaks in the building envelope. Consequently, buildings waste a massive amount of energy, primarily sourced from fossil fuels.

SIGA is a Swiss family-owned company that has set out to halt this energy waste. With over 650 employees in 24 countries, SIGA develops, manufactures, and trains on products for energy-efficient building envelopes. This includes diffusion-permeable membranes and non-toxic adhesive tapes. A tight building envelope protects the structure and prevents uncontrolled air flow that heats up buildings in summer, leading people to switch on air conditioning. In winter, less heating is required because cold drafts do not reach the interior space. This way, SIGA helps fight climate change and improves indoor climates.

SIGA works daily towards the vision of a world where buildings no longer waste energy, actively contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and averting climate catastrophes.

Despite its global vision, SIGA remains committed to its local roots and continues to invest there. To this day, the two major production facilities of SIGA are located in Ruswil and Schachen, Switzerland.
