Afera regularly works with scientific institutions and universities focusing on research and education in adhesive tape bonding technology. This includes the development of industry-wide test methods and educational and awareness programmes.

Afera’s affiliated members include local or national associations and groups, scientific institutions, and universities within Europe that have a focus on the adhesive tape industry or adhesive tape bonding technology. All members are entitled to attend the General Assembly, which takes place during the Annual Conference in October. Only active members have voting rights and are eligible for membership of the Steering Committee.
