On Thursday 8 January 2026, representatives from the world’s regional adhesive tapes organisations, PSTC (USA), Afera (Europe), CATIA (China), TAAT (Taiwan) and JATMA (Japan), held a one-hour online pre-meeting of the 8th Global Tape Forum (GTF) and Global Test Methods Committee (GTMC) event.
Chaired by PSTC Secretary Michel Merkx, the call focused on confirming the framework for Tokyo 2026, sustaining momentum on harmonised test methods (TMs), sharing association updates and, most urgently, mobilising a strong pipeline of technical papers for JATMA’s international programme. The discussion was practical and forward-looking, with an emphasis on ensuring Tokyo 2026 delivers meaningful technical value and strong international participation. Read more
