Depending on the product, a self adhesive tape could be utilized for applications completely different from those which the manufacturers intended. Users that want to use this product in ways that are not suggested by the manufacturers must carry out practical trials as to find out which specific kind of self adhesive tape is most suitable for that particular application. The following recommendation are brief guidelines, representing the minimum for professional users and should be considered as suggestions to the use of self adhesive tapes from the Italian pressure sensitive tapes manufacturers members of Federazione Gomma Plastica.
